We are often asked a range of questions regarding our product quality, the standards that we meet and the range of services that we offer. Q 1: What standards do you meet, for instance are you ISO accredited?
A 1: We are market leaders for quality and customer service, and meet many quality control standards including the accreditation of ISO 9001:2000.
Q 2: Do you have any kind of UL approval?
A 2: Yes, we are approved to PGAA as well as PGDQ2 standard, which allows us to print the UL logo as well as supplying labels to customers who export to the USA. We will also assist you with getting the label we manufacture approved by UL to ensure that you have the correct documentation in place.
Q 3: Do you manufacture prototypes, how quick can I get them and how much are they?
A 3: By utilising the latest digital technology, from approval of artwork, a label or Graphic Overlay will be produced in just five working days. A Membrane Keypad will take a little longer depending on complexity. The price depends upon the work involved but these parts are produced without the need for tooling.
Q 4: I have always had problems emailing drawings and artwork to my present supplier. Can I email these details to you as it would be more convenient and save me time?
A 4: Yes, our CAD system has a wide range of compatible software. In preference we would like to take the following files formats: .ai (adobe illustrator), .pdf (portable document folder), .cdr (CorelDraw), .fh (Freehand), .eps(editable), . Please note that we can only receive .dxf and .dwg files as long as the .dxf and .dwg are not saved as V2000 and are downgraded to at least V12.
Q 5: I don’t employ a designer so if I provide you with a sketch, can you do the drawings for me?
A 5: Yes. Our CAD team has the ability to provide production drawings. We can either come to your premises or you are more than welcome to visit our site where we have all the latest design equipment and software to cater for your needs. We also insist that we receive final approval from you before production commences.
Q 6: Can you provide tactile Membrane Switches?
A 6: Yes, using both metal and plastic technologies.
Q 7: Can you supply Metal panels and PCB's?
A 7: Yes we can supply either a Graphic Overlay or a fully functional Membrane Keypad assembled to either metal back panels or PCB's.
Q 8: Can you supply IP rated Keypads?
A 8: Yes we have manufactured and supplied IP rated Keypads fully protective from water ingress.
Q 9: Can you supply spec sheets/info for the materials/adhesives that you use?
A 9: Yes we have a fully up to date library of specs for all of the materials / adhesives that we use to manufacture all of our products. Copies are available on request.
Q 10 : I am working on a new Membrane Keypad can someone visit to offer technical advice?
A 10: Yes, we have three technical representatives covering the UK who can visit if you require advice. We also have our own design department and internal engineering / production staff who would be happy to answer any questions you may have. We also have our own ink-mixing department, which can match to your own specified colour as long as it is a RAL, Pantone or BS colour.
