Further Improvements Underway With New ERP System

As a company that never stands still there are further improvements underway at Fascia Graphics®. We have recently invested in a new ERP system that is currently under development. The all-encompassing system will be fully online before the end of the year offering further benefits to our customers and suppliers alike.

The new system will offer enhanced visibility and control of all aspects of the company’s functions, seamlessly integrating sales, accounts, production planning, purchasing, production, HR and QA. The last ten years have seen consistent growth for Fascia Graphics® and our current systems have evolved over the years and served us well. However, we currently utilise five different software packages, the new ERP will allow us to consolidate into a single system.

The new system will boast unrivalled production planning visibility enabling us to load and plan to capacity; ensuring products will be turned around efficiently. Furthermore the new ERP records all aspects of material and labour usage, automatically analysing past manufacturing data to accurately provide quotations and production time for future work. Our customers will benefit from prices based on accurate manufacturing data, ensuring the most competitive and accurate quotations in the marketplace.

The enhanced system also offers us greater control and improves analysis of our lean manufacturing programme, with overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) and Bottle-neck analysis built in as standard.

Stock-control and purchasing will also be transformed with the ability to see the requirements for the coming hours, days or weeks. This enables us to automatically call-in material when needed without having to hold stock for longer than required and risk damaging or exceeding shelf-life. For our suppliers, there will be the advantage of improved information on upcoming requirements.

Paul Bennett, Managing Director, commented ‘we have invested in excess of one million pounds in the manufacturing processes over the last four years and this investment continues with the new ERP system. The system will bring our controls and software up to date with our production facility ensuring the service we offer our customers remains the very best in the industry’.
